I taught English as a Second Language in the USA for over 15 years. I am not a miracle worker, but if you do everything I tell you the way I tell you to, your listening and speaking WILL IMPROVE in 10-12 WEEKS. Over 15 years of teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) in the USA to adult students from over 40 different countries.
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY & METHODOLOGY
* Nobody can TEACH anybody anything -- people LEARN.
* I will tell you WHAT to do, HOW to do it, ADAPT the what and the how to YOUR SPECIFIC NEEDS, and make sure YOU actually LEARN.
* Again, NO MIRACLES: in order to improve proficiency in a foreign language, one has to WORK on it AT LEAST 8-10 HOURS a WEEK (anything less is a waste of my time and your money).
* Of the 8-10 hours, for LIVE TUTORING SESSIONS 2 HOURS a week is usually enough; the rest is homework. Yes, HOMEWORK!
* Homework does NOT have to be PAINFUL and BORING, but it REQUIRES TIME and EFFORT -- 6-8 hours a week (homework is about 70% LISTENING, 20% WRITING, and 10% READING; this may vary from student to student and from week to week).
* LIVE TUTORING SESSIONS are 100% SPEAKING. YOU will be doing most of the TALKING.
